Networking is an important part of ensuring our Members get the most from the GEMG.
Events held are aimed at ensuring we are able to come together to discuss our shared vision.
The 2019 AGM was held on 25 October at the Recreation hotel in Boulder. The Workshop, held prior to the AGM, provided an opportunity for GEMG members to hear from two of the groups founders, Andrea and Jim Williams, about their experience surviving a snake bite last year. This was followed by presentations from Adam, Felix and Ian who shared their expertise, insight and personal perspectives on snake awareness, snake bite management and working remotely; topics very relevant to those working in environmental professions.
The GEMG Workshop & AGM also featured in the Kal miner! Click here for the full article.
There was a fantastic turn out, and the GEMG thanks the presenters for very informative and interesting presentations, and all the people that supported and organised this event.
Kalgoorlie and Perth Christmas Parties
The Kalgoorlie Christmas Party was held on Friday 29th November at the York Hotel, with members enjoying a sit down meal and low key catch up. The Perth Christmas party, held on Friday 22nd November at the Oxford Hotel had a great turnout of members who enjoyed drinks, food and Christmas cupcakes baked by committee member Clare Ryall. Both events were a great way to cap off 2019 and bring the GEMG into a new conference year!!
